WalletAltis · Privacy policy
Your financial records stay on your device. The backups you export go where you choose.
This page includes guidance for an upcoming update. Some features may not appear in your installed build. The app has not yet been released on the App Store.
Data stored on your device
WalletAltis is an iOS app for manually recording your finances. The financial data you enter is stored in the app’s private Application Support directory on your device. It is not automatically sent to the operator’s servers.
There is no bank synchronization, WalletAltis account or login, or developer-operated backend. The app does not use advertising, usage analytics, or tracking.
Before saved-data format migrations, backup restores, and changes to the currency, ledger time zone, or a card’s debit bank, the app keeps a copy of your financial data in the same private app directory (recovery points: up to the 10 newest, with older copies deleted automatically). It does not create a copy before every app update. If data cannot be read and you choose to start over, the unreadable file is also kept as a recovery point. These copies are not sent to the operator.
The ledger time zone is saved with financial data, included in backups, and restored with them. New ledgers use the device time zone at creation; existing data without a time zone uses Asia/Tokyo. Travel does not automatically change it.
Exports and backups
You can manually export your financial data as a JSON file and save it to a destination you choose. The operator does not automatically receive this file.
If you choose cloud storage or a sharing destination, that service handles the file. You manage its location, permissions, sharing, retention, and deletion. JSON backups contain financial information, so choose where you store or share them carefully.
Depending on your iOS and device backup settings, local app data may be included in operating-system backups to iCloud or a computer. This is separate from any app-specific cloud sync; WalletAltis does not provide its own cloud sync.
Exported files use compact JSON with unnecessary whitespace removed. They are neither compressed nor encrypted. Exported recovery points also contain financial information and should be stored securely.
Purchases handled by Apple
In-app subscriptions use Apple’s StoreKit 2. Apple processes purchases and payments. The app checks purchase and subscription status provided by Apple to determine access to paid features.
The operator does not receive your payment card details, such as your credit card number. Apple’s privacy policy and terms govern Apple’s handling of purchase information.
When you email support
If you contact ioh.studio.777@gmail.com, the operator receives your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. This information is used to reply, investigate the issue, and provide necessary follow-up.
Messages are also processed and stored by the operator’s email service. Send the error message first. Do not send passwords or card details. Send files containing financial data only if the operator requests them, using a secure method. Redact personal details from screenshots.
Support information is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and necessary follow-up, then deleted when no longer needed. You can request deletion of your correspondence at the same address. Copies in the email provider’s backups are subject to that provider’s retention and deletion processes.
Retention and deletion
Your local financial records remain for as long as the app’s data remains on your device. Deleting (uninstalling) the app removes its local app data. Offloading an app retains its data and is different from deleting it.
Uninstalling does not necessarily remove copies in operating-system backups or JSON files you have exported. Manage and delete those copies yourself through your device or backup-service settings and the storage locations you chose.
Canceling a subscription does not itself delete financial records or backups. The operator cannot access your local app data, delete it on your behalf, or recover lost records.
Settings > Delete All Data removes financial records and recovery points from the device. You can also export or delete individual recovery points. These actions are available without a subscription. Deletion within the app leaves exported files and operating-system backup copies in place; manage and delete those yourself. It does not cancel a subscription.
